Ball Python Egg Cutting

In this section Pet Den will be assisting customers in cutting open a Ball Python egg! We will have about 80 clutches of eggs and close to 600 eggs hatching this year.

Cutting open ball python eggs is a practice done by breeders to assist the hatchlings in emerging from their eggs. While ball pythons are capable of hatching on their own, sometimes they may struggle to do so due to various reasons, such as thick eggshells or improper positioning inside the egg. By carefully making a small incision in the eggshell, breeders can check on the progress of the hatchling inside and assist it if necessary. Cutting open ball python eggs is a practice done with the welfare of the hatchlings in mind, aiming to ensure their successful emergence and early development.

More to come!
